OS iso is not bootable from ESXI 7.0.2 but It works in VM Worstation
Hi all,
We have ESXI 7.0.2 at the work.
I'm trying to install a server from scratch from an ISO. I select the ISO but the server doesn't recognise the iso. Boot order is OK.
If I try to do same procedure using VM Worstation in my laptop It works fine.
What could be the problem?
Thanks,
Carlos

Hardware is an HP cluster
The ISO is in a network server
The problem is that I can see & mount the ISO as an CD/DVD, the boot order is ok in the BIOS, but when I start the server It tries to boot from network directly.
We have changed the iso permissions from the user to root and It has worked. It is very strange
Thanks

Try to copy the iso file into the datastore and then boot
