Slow ESXi 6 Update 1b boot
Hi,
I'm working with VMware ESXi 6 Update 1b on top of Lenovo server with 192GB RAM and two SAS disks that ESXi installed on them (RAID1). The boot process takes 15 minutes (Yes!) until I can manage the ESXi host via vSphere client/Web Client.
Most of the time it's loading modules such as NFS, NetApp modules and other storage modules.
Comparing to the same server model with ESXi 5.5 Update 3b - It takes 5 minutes to boot up.
How can I speed up the server so the boot time will be quicker? (I'm working with latest firmware updates)
Thanks.

Could you share the esx boot log?
Just a thought, I remember ESXi hosts presented with RDM luns taking long boot times, check this linked KB if it applies to your environment

I'll ask the customer if he'll let me uploading the ESXi logs.
Any other ideas?

Maybe you could check what exactly is taking that long. You can see messages rotating on that "ESXi welcome screen" during boot-up (various services/daemons being started, etc) before login-prompt is offered. Just take note of what message is sitting there for quite long time...
