Cisco Switch in
Ii have an old Cisco C2960G-24TC-L Catalyst Switch.
I am considering it for our setup to test vCAC / ITBM.
Just wondering if this is a gig switch and would work for out test environment.
thanks

It should be fine, although you didn't specify what you want to test.

We are looking at standing up a test bed to look at vCD, vCAC, and ITBM.
The original goal was to look at Chargeback Manager, but it is EOA so we need to evaluate ITBM as a possible replacement.
There has been a lot of talk that vCD is moving towards vCAC and ITBM, so we have to test both.
I also found the Cisco Switch is being discontinued.
thanks

Yeah your only limitation of that switch will be you will need to stick to 1GB iSCSI for your storage unless you have a fibre card / SAN to connect into. Other then that should work fine for testing purposes

yep.
I was given a NAS but I checked and it was not on the HCL.
It is a Netgear 4420100 Ready NAS.
I don't think 5.5 and the other products would work well with the NAS.
We have to at lest have some realistic performance....
