Upgrade esxi 7.03 to vSphere 7 essentials

Apologies if this has been asked before, I did search but did not find a topic close to my version. I have installed the free version of ESXI 7.03 and am currently running several VMs. I would like to upgrade to enable a 12vCPU. Does the upgrade require a restart? Or is this a simple license key update? Thank you~

No, the binaries are the same for all editions. All that needs to be done is to replace the license key, which can be done while the VMs are running.

@a_p_provided the correct answer. You need to install your license key and you are ready to go without host reboot. Can you please update your question and mark as solved?
