Possible to have the error ?
I think you talk about RDM, physical or virtual ?

How do you share the disk?
Is it a vmdk with multi-writer flag or RDM disk?
What error do you get?

hi thank you for your comment.
i have configure as multi-writter flag. not RDM.
the disk is configured as Thick provision lazy zeroed, and using iSCSI controller as Physical.
when i increase disk size, it alert : Incompatible device backing specified for device '0'. and cannot opening VM.
to be flexible using RDM?

If using the multi- writer flag, the .vmdk needs to be eager zeroed... not lazy.

If you are using multi- writer flag for the .vmdk than disk type should be eager zeroed and power down secondary VM when increasing shared disk size
