Mark VM that should not started or other solutions
I have lots of VM that i have to keep for some time and should not start.
Any suggestion how i can mark it or do anything so people don,t start it.
I have two suggestion but not sure it is possible.
- Make folder and VM in that folder cannot be started
- Users get questions when they try to start it and they are asked if the are sure. (like when you copy VM and it ask did you move it ore copy)

Hi..
How about creating a resource pool with 0 resources and move the VMs into it?

Or how about backup/archiving it and removing it from your vSphere environment so you don't have to worry about this at all? This is a much more common approach.
