Regular kernel log entries "ScsiScan: 836: Path vmhba4:C0:T0:L0 supports REPORT LUNS 0x11"
Hello,
anyone any info on this? I can't find anything...

Normal entries during a storage rescan. A periodic probe that runs every 5 mins or as and when any new changes are done.

Thanx for your fast reply! It really seems to be every 5 minutes. What Cormacs article didn't explain was the code "0x11". It also only seems to scan the first LUN (L0) on all paths. Is this "normal"?

Yes, any management commands (such as report LUNs) are sent to LUN0 only. AFAIK, 0x11 might be representing the VPD Inquiry command.
