Hi
When downloading the beta, there is a reference to an ova file, but the downloaded file has an ovf extension. After renaming to ova I was able to import into vCenter through the web client

Hey Gabrie - are you seeing this from https://my.vmware.com/group/vmware/get-download?downloadGroup=STRATA10BETA? When I download, I get an ova.

The file on the page says ova indeed, but after download on my iMac, using manual download with chrome as browser, it is saved as an ovf. Then when trying to import using firefox I get an import that it has an incorrect format. Renaming to ova solves it.

Interesting, just tested on Mac and Chrome (chrome needs an update) and I got an ova. I will look into this - thanks for reporting.

I can confirm that this is a browser/Mac issue (Chrome in particular). It renames the file to .ovf when it's saved -- I guess it's a content-type issue.

As I said in the title, a minor issue. Maybe mention it on the download page that it can happen.
