Hello
I have been searching for a while to find answers to two questions that I have been troubling with regarding vCOps.
1. I can see some users reporting adapter resource errors like this one:
"31 resource(s) do not receive data from this adapter resource"
It is made by one of the vCenters in our environment and has to day been active for 300 days. Another identical alert (81 resources instead of 31) has been active for 112 days now.
I can't clear the alert, when I attempt to do so I get the "please select fault" dialog. Some users report having to change license to enterprise to get the custom-ui to clear these and also state that engineering are working on fixing it. But that was in 5.7.2. We are running 5.8.2, a fix would be nice.
Does anyone know how to clear these another way?
2. I was suspending alerts the other day and then by accident I hit supress instead of suspending. Having not noticed at first (dialogs are almost identical) I type in 1440 as I have done in the suspend dialog. As soon as I hit enter my eyes register that it said days and not minutes. Damn...
I have supressed some alerts for a group of servers for 1440 days now. Anyway of undoing that? Like a view of supressed alerts?
Thank you in advance.

1. These alerts will pop up when the data source resources stop providing metrics, which can be a VM getting powered off/becoming unregistered/unavailable for monitoring or otherwise not be able to report performance metrics. The Custom UI mainly how I manage them, or if you were very motivated you could do a postgres query. I expect this will change in future major version releases.
2. You can view the suppressed or suspended alerts in the Custom UI Alerts Overview. There is a filter for this category of alerts at the top

Hello Mark
Thank you for the answers. Kind of anoying that it needs to be cleared via the Custom UI as we only run the Standard version of vCOps and don't have access to it without going for a trial for a period of time.
It would be nice if these two features were included in the Standard version.
