Well,
I have gotten the login to work:
Username: tuxdistro
Password: tuxdistro
But, what is the "root" account password????? I need to ssh with root and cannot!
What is the root password,

Hey,
I got it!
Just run this: sudo passwd root
It will ask for "tuxdistro"'s password, enter : tuxdistro
Then, set your root password. By default the root pwd isn't set in ubuntu.

Hi,
The virtual ethernet card isn't recognized by the OS. (working perfectly with other images)
I've tried to reinstall the VMware tools but in order to do so I need GCC or some other sort of C++ compiler, and I can't download any as I don't have any internet acces through this VMware image!!
Could you please tell me what I should do to regain access to the ethernet card?
