Hi, I have a bunch of android tablets with work managed profile and custom launcher. I have enabled wifi so they can lock to any normal wifi network. Problem is when a wifi has a captive portal, that is, when you connect to a ssid it redirects to a web page and asks to login. So, when the tablets lock to that ssid they can't go to the login page, don't open anything and gives an error ("administrator blocked..." or something). I'm searching for an option on airwatch but can't find anything that helps. The tablets have Chrome browser that works with no restrictions. On the profile wifi is open (no specific wifi payload however).
Any suggestions?
Thank you.
in the meantime I have solved by myself...browser was not the fault.
I have whitelisted this Android native components:
CaptivePortalLogin com.android.captiveportallogin
that did the trick.
maybe also helped this:
ConfigUpdater com.google.android.configupdater
Your problem is probably due to the fact that the default browser or some related service is not white listed in the launcher. When the device hits the captive portal it needs to launch a browser in order for the user to login and if the browser is not permitted to run by the rules setup in the launcher then it will fail.

How do you whitelist the Android Native Components?
