iPhone SIM replaced after rollout (new number)

When iPhones are enrolled (DEP) the phone appears under "Devices - Detail View - Network". But sometimes a SIM has to be replaced (with new phone number).

But then, the old number is still shown under "Devices - Detail View - Network".
Is it possible to force the new number the be shown, without new enrollment of iPhone?

Interesting. I never thought this would be an issue. We often swap SIM for various reasons and most of the times the phone number was already ported over behind the scene before the swap.
