iPads stuck on ' Device Wipe Pending'

I have been testing deploying profiles to a shared iPad environment, and when I go to wipe the devices (immediately after I enroll them and they are clearly online) they remain on ' Device Wipe Pending'   - and never seem to come back online after the initial profile install (I can verify they are indeed connected to WiFi). Any ideas?

Thanks in advance.

We are intermittently seeing this behaviour too. Most recently it has been on an iPad. We sent an Enterprise Wipe weeks ago on a device in our possession. It's connected to WIFI and shows as last having been seen 3 hours ago but the wipe still hasn't gone through. It is still in DEVICE WIPE PENDING status.

Have either of you checked Devices > Lifecycle > Wipe Log? Our console was configured a bit oddly to only allow 10 devices within an hour to be wiped and so I had to change that restriction and approve the commands that were pending in the wipe log.

Thanks Dmitri. That's an interesting find but it doesn't seem to be the source of the issue in this case. Under Devices > Lifecycle > Wipe Log it shows a status of Processed with a check mark. I did notice that this was not an Enterprise Wipe, but a Device Wipe (sorry for the confusion).

Under Troubleshooting > Event Log I can see two entries with the same time stamp. The differences between the two are
Module: Dashboard vs Devices
Category: Command vs Device
Event: Wipe Request vs Device Wipe Requested

Under Troubleshooting > Commands I can see a Wipe command in Queued status.

Did you find a solution?
Same here for me. none of my commands reach the iPad.
I tried More Actions>Find device.

I've recently renewed the VPP
