Zebra TC70 devices on Android Enterprise

Hi,

we are starting to enroll some zebra rugged devices on Android Enterprise, but after the enroll all extra apps other than mail and contast ( and few others) disappear.
We need to keep Datawedge, that is preinstalled.

Can we modify some settings in order to leave all apps where they are also after the enroll in Android Enterprise?

Thank you
Giorgio

We are experiencing a similar problem on the Zebra TC52 devices.  Have you found a solution yet?

Hi Dana,

we opened a ticket to vmware support, they replied that you need to create an app whitelist with the datawedge app id, and an app control policy with ' Enable System apps'

For us, it worked

I'm sure you've likely figured this out by now but this is very likely a byproduct of the enrollment method that you utilized. If you were to switch from the QR or NFC based enrollment method to the StageNow based method then the system apps like DataWedge should remain enabled.

Hi Giorgio,

What did you use for the datawedge app id? I've been searching for it everywhere and haven't been able to find it.

Thanks!

Datawedge’s application id is com.symbol.datawedge
