Workspace1 Hub username/password with a DEP device

We are in transition to using DEP devices and in our old environment Hub would prompt for a username/password when opened.  Now it is a passthrough with a generic user name.

Would we need to enable authorization in remote management in this situation?  We want Hub to prompt for the username/password and if not possible with a DEP device (added through configurator) would enabling auth in remote management be the solution?

Not sure I understand the use case here. with DEP enrolment normally you would use the AD account for the user to enrol the device, the Hub app would be set to 'required' and download post enrolment, when opened it would be assigned to the user account used to enrol the device.

Typical DEP would prompt for credentials during setup. However, if you want to not be prompted for credentials during device setup and instead be prompted when launching Hub for the first time, a DEP profile for shared devices with a staging user account configured should do what you want.
