Workspace One Access DR

Hello,

I have a question about Workspace One Access, is it possible to add a new node to the cluster in a different datacenter and subnet other than the cluster main nodes? can it be treated as a passive (Read-only)?

Usually you would have a new cluster created on the DR site, other than adding a node your Primary cluster.

https://docs.vmware.com/en/VMware-Workspace-ONE-Access/20.10/workspace_one_access_install/GUID-4725F...

The clusters themselves will have timeouts and limitations that would not allow a node to be on a different VLAN. Therefore, if you would like to have a DR implementation you would either use Site Recovery Manager or create your 3 appliances on the DR site by cloning your original appliance.

You can find some details about this on the documentation:

https://docs.vmware.com/en/VMware-Workspace-ONE-Access/20.10/workspace_one_access_install/GUID-01E56...

https://docs.vmware.com/en/VMware-Workspace-ONE-Access/20.10/workspace_one_access_install/GUID-BC9B4...

Hope this helps.
