Workspace ONE Web - ability to control website to not load over cellular.

We are using Android 6.0 tablets, with the Secure Launcher.   Our internal training videos are available, via a web page.   We would like to restrict the ability of viewing these training videos over cellular.  Obviously, to save our cellular data.        Looking for any suggestions.

You can use an SDK profile to limit this. Create the SDK profile then assign it to Workspace Web under settings. It will allow you to say never use the app over cellular.

1. go to https://yourhost.com/AirWatch/#/AirWatch/Profiles/AppProfiles
2. Create your SDK profile for Android, choose the network payload, enable it and set your preferences. Save it.
3. go to https://yourhost.com/AirWatch/#/AirWatch/Settings/BrowserPolicies
4. locate the application profile and change it to custom (you may have to override at the top to make changes here)
5. Select the SDK profile you created from the list, save the page.

This will apply the settings to this app and leave the generic settings for everything else.

You could also set this as a default for all Vmware apps that use the SDK by doing the following:

1. Go to https://yourhost.com/AirWatch/#/AirWatch/Settings/AppSecurityPolicies
2. Locate the Network Access section and enable it, then choose the cellular limits.
3. Save and go.

It is worth noting this will block all access on cellular with the web app not just to your training videos on cellular.  You can block these videos urls from the web app as another workaround

Just a thought but have you considered using the Content Locker so the data cache's on the device, you can restrict it to Wi-Fi only and offer offline viewing as well??

Content Locker is a good option, although the Android version is not flattering IMO.

We are using the content locker and we love the ability to block downloading over cellular.     These are separate training videos that were published online.    Thank you for the suggestions, I'll look into it.
