What happens to a device when it's record is removed from Airwatch

We remove "stale" records from Airwatch after a certain number of days in device last seen status. If a device is brought back online after it's record has been removed from the OG, what's the expected behavior of the device?

We're seeing devices return to factory default and wondering if this is due to their records being purged.

I think the device will be wiped. I think that's what happen if the device is online when you delete the device record.

But this should be easy to test for you?

That's what we were seeing and the answer our mobile device team finally confirmed was happening.
