Use Chrome in Kiosk Mode

I am trying to set up the device in single app mode (kiosk mode) with Chrome. However, based on what I have read, unless there is a dedicated device API or other third part tools added,I can’t run single app mode with Chrome. Is this correct? Any workaround that can be used for this case?

Here's one thing you can try.

If you are using Android Enterprise, you can deploy a Web App through the work Play Store:

1. Go to "Apps & Books" and add a new public app.

2. Select Android as the platform and click Next.

3. On the left hand side, select Web Apps.

There you should be able to add a new Web app pointing to the URL you require. There's also an option for the Web app to launch as "Full Screen".

The caveat to this is that Full Screen just works with HTTPS sites.

You can use this in conjunction with the VMware Launcher in order to get a Kiosk.

Another option would be to, instead of Chrome, use the Workspace ONE Web app which has the option to hide the address bar natively available and can be fully configured by Workspace ONE UEM (check your licensing to see if you are entitled to it).
