Unable to update to 1.5 behind a proxy

Hello,

I'm unable to update to 1.5 behind a proxy.

On my configurator VM :

hzn-conf:/opt/vmware/bin # env |grep proxy

http_proxy=http://10.0.105.2:3128

ftp_proxy=http://10.0.105.2:3128

https_proxy=http://10.0.105.2:3128

no_proxy=localhost, 127.0.0.1

hzn-conf:~ # wget http://vapp-updates.vmware.com/vai-catalog/valm/vmw/B3978BF4-F781-11E1-A4D4-21776188709B/1.0.0.0.lat...

Connecting to 10.0.105.2:3128... connected.

I had exactly the same issue.

Solved it by adding the proxy to the service-va via yast.

You only need to add the proxy to the service-va. Looks like the vapp uses only the proxy setting in the service-va.

I had the same issue, adding a proxy using yast on the service-va fixed it for me also.

Did you configure proxy on configurator-va using  yast?

I only configured the the proxy on the service-va using yast, but if I remember right I could not get it working until rebooted the service-va.

service-va needs internet access to get to the Global catalog of application templates.

configurator-va needs internet access to get to the update server.

They both need to be configured with proxy information.

Actually, all the VAs need access to internet for update to work properly. Please make sure to set up proxy on all the VAs.

I was to hasty with my reply :smileyconfused:

I am able to get the updatemgr.hzn check command work (finds the update to 1.5) but if I run updatemgr.hzn update only the configurator-va can be updated to 1.5. All other VAs failes to update. It seems that they could not get the update:

Update connector-va to 1.5.0.0

version=1.0.0.0 Build 1020050

update=

build=

No updates available

Update of connector-va failed

I have set the proxy on all VAs and can download webcontent on it (via wget).

Has anyone an idea how to update the other VAs? Have I set the proxy settings also in the setenv.sh file under JVA_OPTS?
