I have been tasked with finding other options for un-enrolling a device where the device shows as "unenrolled" in WS1 without having a user log into the console. I have found a way to use API scripts to do so but is anyone aware of any other way to do so? Possibly through the hub app?
We are looking at enabling the allowance to remove MDM profiles from the device settings but this would be a last resort.
Another option is to unenroll the device using SSP.
SSP allows users to perform an Enterprise Wipe, which unenrolls devices associated with them.

Depends on whether you want to either 'Device Wipe' or 'Enterprise Wipe'.
DEP enrolled devices would normally be requring a 'Device Wipe'.
Your options are really using the Admin Console and REST API. Other options like Hub and SSP will only do EW.
To add to the above suggestions, you could use Notifications in the HUB app via Hub services to have the user wipe/un-enrol using the API, send the notification to the user, they open the HUB app and select the button to wipe.
