Product Provisioning

Is anyone here familiar with product provisioning?

I keep getting an error when publishing a configuration file to a specific folder (/storage/sdcard0/download) in the Android device:

2019-05-08 09:44:06 ERR Failed to create folder (null) for download

2019-05-08 09:44:06 ERR java.io.IOException occurred creating file for download

2019-05-08 09:44:06 ERR Product step execution failed at step: 2

try and modify the path /sdcard/download

What kind of device is this? What kind of file are you trying to deploy?

I have both Samsung and Google Pixel devices for this exercise. The file is the same as an XML file except it's named specifically per vendor's documentation.

I have never done this on a non-rugged device. It appears that the folder doesn't exist and therefore doesn't proceed with copying the file over. Try using a create folder first and see if that resolves the problem.

Hey Gavin, based on my note I got it working with /sdcard/download (thanks, Brandon)

Actually I had this on devices on to which I added a restriction profile.

Unfortunately it wasn't clear in the error that this profile was preventing the file install, but once the restriction profile was removed the product containing the file rule installed without a problem.

After that I could re-install the restriction profile.
