We have a process where we buy our iPhone/iPad, have it as part of DEP, add it to our system thru the Apple business store, and then sync it to WS1. Then when it's there, we get basic info including serial and UDID. We use those values to generate a Wi-Fi username and password that can be scripted with variables. Recently one of my team started double enrolling a device. Said the UDID isn't showing in WS1 anymore during that initial sync and only way to get it now is thru enrolling it once to get the value, and then remove and enroll it again for the user once we deploy it. Not sure if anyone else does this or is familiar but does anyone know why the UDID would no longer show where it used to? We also noticed that the last 4 of the UDID used to be unique, but now it isn't for devices we buy in bulk.
