I'm looking into migrating to an AlwaysOn DB. The problem is that I've only seen the ' Using SQL AlwaysOn Availability Groups' checkbox when performing a major upgrade, i.e. 9.5 --> 9.7. When applying a minor patch 9.7.0.7 -> 9.7.0.12, there's no option to enable AlwaysOn. My question is if I go back through and rerun the base 9.7.0.0 installer after already being on 9.7.0.12, will I revert back to 9.7.0.0?
I checked the UpdateSQLServerInformation utility and unfortunately there's no option to enable an AlwaysOn Availability Groups, only to specify a new SQL server/DB and credentials.
Worst case is that I have to wait until 1810 comes out.
