Login in Workspace One app is not working with company e-mail adress

Hello everybody,

when i start the workspace one app on win 10 or ios, or android. I couldn´t log me in with the users e-mail adress. I get the error message ' automatic search with you e-mail adress failed. please type in server adress' .  When i fill in the server adress, airwatch/workspace could setup on the users phone or workstation.

Where can I setup, that users can use workspace one with their e-mail adress? I am sure, it must be easy, but i don´t the see the correct menu to edit it.

Hey Matthias, there is a setting for this in the Identity Manager console:



  1. Login to your Identity Manager tenant and navigate to Identity & Access Management >> Setup >> Preferences.

  2. Make sure to activate the option ' Enter an Email Address to Sign in to Workspace ONE App' .

When this is enabled, users can enter their email address to sign in to Workspace ONE, and auto discovery is used to find the user. I don't think it has anything to do with the Identity Manager but I'd make sure to configure auto discovery in AirWatch aswell.
