Hello.
My old computer controlled cutter connects to a parallel port. I'm trying to control it from a modern computer, but because the software runs only in DOS I have to use virtual.
The software requires LPT1 port. I have USB to Printer adapter which adds "USB Printing Support" device to the system:
No LPT1 port at all.
VMWare also doesn't see it as LPT1.
Is there anything I can do about this situation? Any suggestions?
Maybe there is a USB addapters that actually add LPT1 port to the system that I could use?
