Installation Frustration

I deployed the horizon vapp to our production cluster with minimal fuss - save for startup errors related to IP Pools and issues with multiple DNS entries.  How can you specify multiple DNS servers in the config; no matter how I entered them into the IP Pool settings the configurator always reads it as being comma separated and refuses to continue.

My first real issue was with sync'ing with our AD - all of our users(over 100K) are in a single OU - the initial import caused my browser to issue multiple script warnings for timeout issues and took 20-30 minutes.

The MAJOR issue I faced was when after completing the configuration steps I attempted to login with my AD credentials and recieved an error message that there was too much time drift between the Horizon vms; one of them was off by over 2,000 seconds.  My frustration with this is that the error message simply tells you to contact support.  I could find no reference to time settings in the web interfaces of any of the vApp components; there is ONE reference to NTP in the admin guide.  I manually configured NTP on the VMs to resolve this problem.

I am now "Push to Horizon"-ing my imported users again, but it's been running for a while.

This really feels like a 1.0 release(which I know it is) - inital impression disappointment.  Heck, it'd just be nice if I didn't have to jump between web consoles just to make directory changes.

@ihafarm

We do not support multiple DNS servers currently.

For NTP to work correctly, you should point the ESX host to NTP server.
