I have a number of users with shared devices frustrated by the quick timeout of the iPhone. Max we can set it to is 5 minutes but organizationally we are authorized to have 15 minutes before a device locks. So in iOS I see two items in WS1:
auto-lock
Grace period for the device lock
Trying to understand these settings. So auto-lock I can set to 5 minutes and Grace period looks like 4 hours.
If I set auto-lock to 5 minutes and grace period to 15 what happens? My theory is the screen goes black in 5 minutes but can swipe up on the screen for the next 10 after that without entering the passcode. is that accurate?
If so, how do apps react to that? Will they usually require logging in again? Is there a way to set these values in WS1? I know with auto-lock we set 5 minutes but that is just the maximum value the user can set on the device, we aren't physically setting the value.
