Horizon 1.5.1 Client on XP - Silent Install

Hi,

we use the silently deploy method for the client installation.

e.g.

VMware-Horizon-Workspace-1.5.1-nnnnn.exe /s /z HORIZONSERVER=https://HorizonWorkspaceFQDN SSLBYPASS=1

On our Win7 PCs, we have no problems with the installation.

But on our WinXP PCs, nothing happens!

Can you please collect the installation logs from the XP machine and attach them here? 

You'll need to go to the %TEMP% directory (c:\users\your-user-id\appdata\local\temp) and look for files whose names start with vminst and vmmsi.

We recently published the 1.5.2 clients.

Can you try that client with the following command?

VMware-Horizon-Workspace-nnn.exe /v HORIZONURL=https://server.vmware.com

I am sure the URL is correct !!!

I have the client installed on an unpatched Windows? Maybe was this the fault ?!

If I open the Horizon URL from an IE6, I get an other landing page as if I open the Horzizon URL from an IE 10.

IE6 = not supportet.

Please use the 1.5.2 clients.  These clients have a fix that takes out the attempt to contact the server from the installer, which is what you are seeing fail.  Thanks.
