We use Gmail as an email client to sync corporate email on android devices, and authenticate using a certificate (Certificate based authentication). Once users installed email profile, it works as expected for some days then suddenly there will be a pop-up on the device asking user to enter credentials to authenticate. This is an intermittent issue appearing ONLY for random users but not for all.
Initial observations revealed the facts that after OS update, android is trying to remove security.db file which erases the stored credentials on the device as a result it is prompting user to re-authenticate. Not really sure whether it is a bug from android itself or something else triggering this.
Looking for suggestions.
