Files did not sync ...

Hi to everyone,

we have almost signed up our purchase order for this product and one of our test users reported an issue while syncing files from his Windows 7 laptop with workspace 1.0.0-1028171 version that seems to be the latest build.

I tried to reproduce the issue and in fact got it quite easily.

Failed to upload Bouquet\bouquets.radio and 80 other files

Failed to upload DisacterRecovery\ROLF_disaster_recovery.doc and 2 other files

Failed to upload Docs\Exchange_2010_on_VMware_-_Best_Practices_Guide.pdf and 3 other files

Failed to upload Handover documentation\Drawing1.jpg and 6 other files

Failed to upload Migration ISP\CMS1008321.doc and 11 other files

Failed to upload scripts\CopySignatureFile .vbs and 21 other files

The workspace has no particular restriction. In fact the COS is the default one with a 5Gb quota of space.

Any idea on what could be causing this ? So far it was working fine so I don t get it.

Thanks for any help that can be provided.

Seb

Solved.

For anyone to whom this may be useful :

on the Data-va VM in the /opt/zimbra/log/mailbox.log file I came across this :

Code:service.FAILURE

.....

Caused by: java.io.IOException: No space left on device

Added an extra vmdk to the data vm, rebooted it (otherwise expand command doesn't work) and ran /opt/vmware-hdva-installer/bin/zca-expand-lv on the vm.

After a bit of waiting for the expand to complete everything is back to normal.

While reading came across this that also pointed me to the right direction :

When Horizon Workspace data-va virtual machine is configured, several default virtual machine disks (VMDK) are configured. The combined size of all configured VMDK storage is 175GB. One of these is

configured to store Data blobs and by default is only 10GB.

Cheers

Quick update if this can clarify a bit more.

I can t upload any document neither from the horizon folder or any mobile device and when I try to upload from the web interface I am receiving a Failed to upload file due to : Unknown Error which help a lot Smiley Happy

However I can still create folders ... At least this is still working.

Thanks a lot for the update, Seb.

Yes, this is a known issue and we are trying to see how we can enable better monitoring so the admin is informed if the storage is low.
