Entitled first ThinApp application to all users. Added OK. Nothing seen from user side.

Subject line says it all.

0. I've put my first ThinApp package in a share (http://screencast.com/t/cek2M6FAGNHa) , and sync'd Workspace successfully with the share.

1. I've entitled my first application (http://screencast.com/t/PzT0qrMXjivE ) (Yes, I properly clicked the checkbox to enable it for VMware Horizon Workspace in the capture setup).

2. The user sees no applications: As the user, here you can see no applications *AND* for good measure I installed / configured / authenticated correctly to Horizon via the agent: http://screencast.com/t/qJgliAz8Ujm7

What am I missing ? I've tried "Automatic" and "User-Activated" deployment types.

Thanks in advance.

Hi

When you entitle a user or a group to a app, we kick off a background calculator that flattens the data, and stores the user to app relationship. This process can take some time. We can look at your logs to see if it is getting stuck or anything.

My guess is.. the calculator finished now and then you saw the app in the end user UI.

Similarly, following on your other thread.. the agent pings the server periodically and gets the entitlements and downloads the apps.

The launch will not happen until the app is actually downloaded to your desktop. It may just be a timing thing again.. may be waiting for sometime will fix it.

If I remember it correctly, the sync time interval should be 5-10 minutes.. but I may be wrong and would need to double check.

Thanks for that.

I'm adding a little more information to the other problem in the other thread.

Let's pick it up there. Thanks.
