Device enrollment - device registered to another user.

Hi,

When I try to set up the enrollment for a device under a new user’s account (former user’s account was removed), I am getting a message that says:

Enrollment Denied…
Device not approved
You are not allowed to enroll your device for the following reasons
Device is not on approved list of devices (This device is registered to another user. ….

Any ideas?

Hello,
If you have this kind of message, it means that this device has not been completely cleaned from the console.

So you have to find the device that appears as ' unenrolled'  (by the old username if you know it or by the serial number) and delete it.
After that, enrollment should be successful.

I found an old enrollment in the pending enrollment lifecycle (66 d ago), by another user. I searched using the device serial number and found it. https://support.workspaceone.com/solutions/SOL-20346

Try searching in the lifecycle list for the serial number and remove any tokens in there.
