Clear passcode request on DEP device - Device not acknowledging passcode has been set

i have an issue or believe its an issue or bug where if the service desk clear a passcode from a device and a user has forgotten their passcode, it clears the passcode from the device which all works perfectly.  We have a security profile where a passcode has to be set on the device so it will keep prompting you to set a passcode every time you unlock the device for about 60 mins and then if you haven't put a new passcode in after the 60 mins then it will force you to put a passcode in.

once the passcode has been set, airwatch doesnt acknowlege the passcode has been set unless you go into the 'HUB' app on the physical device and run a sync. is there a way we can do this via the console rather than contacting users ?

Have you tried sending a query from the console? Does this happen to all of your devices?

Hi Deepak,

Is there any issues on the device (such as no email etc) when the console hasnt updated with the latest info? From my experience the device should check-in every few hours depending on your settings. Once the device checks in the console will update to reflect a passcode is set.

hello,

yes i have tried to query the device from the console and then a sync via the console but this does not clear it from the no passcode dashboard. the only way to do this is go on the 'HUB' app and perform a sync.

hi Jeff, there are no issues with emails or and other profile deployment. you can see the status of the device when it was last checked in, even when a new passcode is set after you send the clear passcode command to the device, the device in airwatch see the device as not having a passcode.
