Cannot assign internal app to device

I have added AirWatch client SDK to my application and added my apk file as an internal app.

Now I want assign it to my device to install and test it.

The flow I use is:  apps and books -> apps -> native -> internal -> [edit app] -> [save and assign] -> [select assignment group (with my device)] -> [add] -> [Save and publish].

After this steps I don't see any devices assigned for my app. (Link to video)

The same way I have added device for public app and it worked.

What is the problem? Should I publish my app to store to make it available for my device?

Hi,

Is your device Android Enterprise Work Profile or COPE mode?

If you enrolled device as Work profile or COPE, application that uploaded to WS1 UEM console as Internal app will not be pushed to the device.

You need to upload apk file to Google Managed Console.

It is Android Enterprise limitations.(only in Work profile mode)

Try Android Legacy mode, it will work.

You can create a Sub OG, Then navigate to Settings>Devices&Users>Android>Android EMM Registration>Enrollment Restrictions>Override, Select Always use Android (legacy). Test it in this OG first.
