Boxer delegate access

Hello together,

I'm currently trying to configure delegate access with VMware Boxer and Secure Email gateway. After configuring EWSURL and enabling EWS at the UAG (enable.boxer.ens.ews.proxy = true) nothing changed. I'm still unable to add delegate account within the boxer app. Everytime I try to access the delegate account I get the error message "Unable to sync". After this message I get the information that I can send a request to the delegate user to get permission. Delegate permission is available, I checked with my pc and another delegate app sucessfully.

At the boxer app I can see the following error message.

"Failed to add <ACCOUNT NAME> calendar delegate with an error: Der Vorgang konnte nicht abgeschlossen werden. unauthorized"

Can somebody help? Is there anything I missed?

Thanks in advance.

For more details on what's going wrong you need to download the log archive from the UAG and then check out the files "seg\ews-proxy.log" and "seg\ews-transaction.log". If those logs don't have enough information you can increase the log level for those two logs (https://docs.vmware.com/en/Unified-Access-Gateway/2203/uag-deploy-config/GUID-BE6BDABA-83C5-49CA-AF5...)

For EWS proxy to work, besides setting "enable.boxer.ens.ews.proxy=true", you also need to set "ews.email.server.host.and.port=https://<YOUR_EXCHANGESERVER>:443".
If you're not using certificate based authentication you'll also need to set "remove.unsupported.auth.for.ews=false" in the same config file and make sure that your exchange server has the basic auth IIS feature installed (and it's actually enabled for the EWS application).

To fix this issue The authentication type used must be the same for both Exchange Web Services (EWS) and Exchange ActiveSync (EAS).
