Best place to get Agent and ELM APKs?

Hello, So my company has been having issues with remote passcode changes via the console since we started migrating to Samsung Galaxy S7's. I made a post earlier inquiring about this issue and received the advice that the Samsung ELM app is probably outdated on the users device. I know that we can push app installations down to devices via the console, but depending on the app it'll either be Public or Private. I can use Public and link to the Samsung ELM in the Google Play Store but testing this on my tester device found that it'd still require the user to create/sign-in to a Google account in order to download. When I downloaded the Skype APK and uploaded it to the Private app section, it auto installed after pushing down to the user.

My question is, does anyone know where I can download a secure version of the Samsung ELM APK?

When I check the support forums it directs me to download and install via the Play store.

Thanks!

Is this the latest airwatchagent.apk? Or should I be looking for an updated APK?

Good morning,

I believe these links are dated at the moment. As you may know, VMWare just rebranded the Agent App about a week or two ago. I am not sure of an updated location for the .apk Make sure to be careful when looking for .apks because you never know if they've been injected with malware.
I am also on the hunt for a secure .apk for the Intelligent Hub App and will post something if i come across it.

Thanks, I'm looking for the official download from VMWare.

What version is this apk? we're currently using 8.2 and it doesn't work with the Samsung S9.

The New App is on Ver. 9.0.0.386

I was speaking with a Sr. Systems Engineer from VMWare last week and he didn't have a location to Download the .apk
He said to do it from the Play Store. We usually Sideload all of our devices as well.

What kind of issues are you running into with the S9?  I know we ran into an issue on the S8 revolving around the navigation buttons no longer being accessible.

Maurice - that's exactly the problem we're having navigation buttons not available/disappear as soon as we load the agent. We didn't have any S8's so didn't know it affected those as well. How did you resolve the issue?

Ahh i see i see.
So that issue will happens on any Android OS past 7.0 with devices lacking a physical home button. Our immediate work around for high profile users was to use Odin to flash a lower OS version onto the device. VMWare put out a suggested solution but requires your Portal to be up to date (which was an issue for us) First verify your Portal Version by signing in, and clicking on ' About'  at the bottom of the left Navigation Blade. At the time our Portal was on Version 6.2 (currently at 9.7.0.12 ) For VMWare's Fix i believe your Portal needs to be on at least Version 8.0.
The issue is caused by dated Restriction Profiles. Create a New Profile that mirrors your current one. In the Restriction Category, if you scroll down to Hardware Restrictions there should be a box you can check to Allow Navigation Bar.
Once the new Profile is created, remove the old Profile and reapply the New one.

Keep us posted.

Cheers

Thank you so much for the information.  The Portal version is: Version:9.3.0.0, but I don't have the ' Allow Navigation Bar'  when creating a new profile. I have

Allow system Bar
Allow task manager
Allow menu key
Allow back key
Allow Search Key
Allow volume key

I think it gets added back silently then try creating and deploying the new profile and removing the old one to a test device, I am guessing this is not using android enterprise

Hey sorry for the late Link. Here is the Article i was referencing above.

You can verify if your Profiles need to be updated / recreated by checking the profiles XML export. (see article above)

Let us know if this helps.
