Android restrictions for wifi and updates

I have a division with special requirements. They are using Android Tablets for some employees on the road with specifics apps.  I setup the launcher and lock it for the specified apps.  The app should only works on LTE and could not swap to wifi because it create problems in the app.

I need to find a way to get the updates done only while on WIFI and to connect to WIFI only at night (so the updates could be done). 
Anyone tried something similar ??

Hi Francois,
some time ago I did something similar delivering the update as a product (product provisionig) . There you can specify a condition creating a scenario where you can include, exclude or specify a specific network adapter. In my case it was only for test purposes but it worked, I deleted a MS-Access Database and then I sent a new version to the devices that should be downloaded only via Wi-FI. It was  for Win10, but maybe you can do something similar for Android
