Android Pie Release for Samsung

I have been doing some research and reading various articles about the upcoming release of Pie for Samsung Galaxy's.  From what I am reading many are saying do not look for until after the first of the year.  Saw one article throwing out something like March.  Just wanted to see if anyone on here has heard any rumors about its release date.

I also saw that it will be sometime next year but no hard date from what I've seen

That's why I was hoping to get a Google Pixel instead of Samsung for testing. Guess which one I got instead...

Heard rumours about coming update for spring '19 (February). But only for S9, Note 9. For S8 and more, coming in April '19.
