Android Devices Check-In

We have several Android devices that are constantly falling out of compliance because they do not check-in regularly. We have a Device Last Seen policy that requires the device to check-in every 12 hours. We have disabled all power monitoring on the Android devices. And the AirWatch Agent app stays open. But the devices just stop reporting back to the AirWatch Console. Has anyone else solved this problem?  The users get an email and push notification after the device has not checked-in after 12 hours. Some of the users are getting notifications every 12 hours. This gets really annoying for the users. Looking for recommendations on how you handle Android devices.

I've had a couple customers complain about the same - would also be interested if this is a known issue or if there is a workaround. However we use the AirWatch Container for our Android devices.

Thanks in advance!

What I have found in a few devices is that the user has Power Saving enabled. That setting does not allow some background processes to run. Also, Data Saver. Here are a couple of links -
a) Data saver: (https://developer.android.com/training/basics/network-ops/data-saver)
b) Power Management restrictions (https://developer.android.com/topic/performance/power/power-details)
My testing has been limited to Samsung, but it seems that if Power Saving is on, the Hub app does not report status unless the app is running in the foreground, or the phone has enough charge.

You may also want to check the agent settings to ensure that they are in alignment with your compliance expectation.
