AirWatch device management and virtual reality headsets

I'm interested in device management for VR headsets. There's a lot of press about AirWatch support for AR Google glasses, but I have not seen any related to VR headsets (Ovulus, Vive, etc.). Does AirWatch currently support that or if not, any plans to do so?

I thought the Oculus and Vive were just computer accessories not free standing like Google's glasses or Microsoft's (which I think they support as well but could be wrong) why would you want to manage them with mdm?  It seems like you would manage them by managing the computer you connect them to?

My company is early days on VR, and our tech architecture folks are talking about stand alone VR headset options.  There seems to be a trend running on that now for corporate use.  http://www.isaca.org/Knowledge-Center/Blog/Lists/Posts/Post.aspx?ID=975&utm_referrer=direct%2Fnot%20...

From that standpoint, assuming standalone operation and with a plan for scaling, the support teams see an economy of effort in using the same device management that they use for phones and tablets.

maybe look at this?  https://www.vmware.com/products/pulse-iot-device-management.html

But the Stephen said, these are not independent devices really. Google Glass is independent.

Brent...I would suggest looking at Intune and the Hololens (hololens 2 looks promising). Only system I saw for something like this at this time (other than Google Glass).

I know this topic is quiet old, but Hololens 1 and 2 are also running within WS1 UEM (Version 1903 for HL1, Version 1909 for HL2) just fine.
