Hi folks,
I've read the installation and administration guide but I've not found any information about this feature (WebApps from Global Catalog). Reading Horizon Application Manager documentation I saw that this feature allows you select pre-configured WebApps like Sales Force, Office 365 and others. With Horizon Workspace when I select this feature from Catalog tab I received the error "504 Gateway Time-out" after two minutes (timeout in ngix.conf)
Someone have the same issue?
Best regards,
Jose Luis Gomez
Can your appliances access the Internet? The list of web apps is pulled from the Internet (so we can keep it up to date).
Hi pbjork,
We've proxy server. I've read the installation doc where it says how to configure proxy in service-va but when I try to use Global Catalog now I receive this error:
Message Global Catalog is not configured or wrongly configured | Error Code 80,625 | Server 127.0.0.1 | Timestamp Mar 20, 2013 1:04:26 PM |

Hi pbjork,
I've reconfigured my proxy in JAVA_OPTS and now it works fine.
Thanks so much.
Best regards,

Ideally the error you are getting should not be solved by what you did , and I smell probable bug.
Can you please tell me more about web application url that you were trying to add.
Also if you have horizon.log file , please attach that too.
@kamleshpatil,
Yes, this is the actual problem, the customer's machine should be able to reach the internet and the proxy has to be setup. looks like the right setup was done.
@kamleshpatil
You need internet in your service-va server. Horizon workspace documentation specifies that if you use proxy you must configure it in service-va server, exactly in /opt/vmware/horizon/..../bin/setenv.sh.
When I configured it, I could see in my proxy that this server requested information to https://catalog.horizonmanager.com/SAAS/

Thanks , Glad to see problem resolved .
I also have created ticket to enable system to send more accurate error message like : "Unable to reach Vmware Global Catalog (https://catalog.horizonmanager.com/SAAS/) through internet, please check proxy configuration"
Hi,
Can you tell us what you added to the JAVA_OPTS line.
I've tried: JAVA_OPTS="$JAVA_OPTS -Dhttp.proxySet=true -Dhttp.proxyHost=proxy.example.com -Dhttp.proxyPort=8080"
Regards,
The setting should be:
-Dhttp.proxyHost=proxy.company.com -Dhttp.proxyPort=3128 -Dhttps.proxyHost=proxy.company.com -Dhttps.proxyPort=3128
