Two windows guests on a machine with two NICs

Hello to all,

I want to replace two old windows xp machines  with virtual machines.

I have bought a new PC with windows 7 pro OS. This new machine has two NICs.

Old machines were in two separated networks and didn't excahne any data.

So I know I need to use bridged mode, but I don't have much experience. What I need is to bridged guest 1 to NIC1 and bridge guest 2 to NIC2.

I want that guest OS can provide and share files.

Host cmputer is just used as a placeholder for two guest OSs.

How to proceed?

Thank you

Are you wanting to virtualize these on ESXi? Workstation? Fusion?

Hello daphinissov,

I'm trying to use vmware player 14.

I have done this before, but now it seems that auto bridging on the second guest machine is bridging to the wrong NIC on the host system.

Long time ago I had a similar setup with two NICs on the host machine and two guests machine (each had its own network). If I recall correctly I had only to choose bridging (automatic) , entered appropriate IPs on guests machines and automatic bridging indeed worked automatic.
