Network Adapters showing different LinkSpeed

Hi there,

I have a test virtual machine running on VMware ESXi, 6.7.0, 17167734. The host is an HP Proliant DL380 Gen9.

The Guest virtual machine is running Windows Server 2019.

On the Guest virtual machine, I added two network adapters. Both of these adapters are on the same network (in the esxi host). I created the second network adapter to assign it to another IIS Website in my Windows Server.

One of the network adapter type is vmxnet and the second is E1000. Please see the attached screenshot. The two network adapters show different LinkSpeed. Any idea why? Is it because it is using E1000 type?

Good day.

Yes, it shows 1Gb, because of 1000E, but anyway you can exceed more than 1Gbs of bandwidth on 1000E adapter.
