Xen Enterprise is opensource virtualization platform and being use by Virtual Iron and now bought by Citrix. It provides virtualization solution almost the same as VMware ESX but in performance and scalability, VMware beat it hands down. The fact is, 85% Fortune 500/1000 companies using VMware as their virtualization solution for data center consolidation and high availability solutions.

Oracle VM is also use Xen source for their virtualization product and the only different is how the management console works and they their migrate VMs from host to host. You can check out the latest Xen Enterprise at for details.

as far as i know Citrix bought XenSource not the Xen hypervisor. Xensource is build on the XenHypervisor and also contains a management app.
