So, I've got a bunch of vm's that were mostly created before I began working here and they've all pretty much been created as if they were real servers. mostrous hdd's, 4GB+ RAM, etc. It's easy to see how much memory is being utilized, cpu resources, etc. And I'm going to put together some new guidelines for a standard vm so that we aren't going nuts with resource allocations.
But I don't know how to look at a vm's virtual disks and see how much of that (or whatever size) disk is actually being used. I could rdp or ssh into each vm and see, but that would take forever. Anyone got an easier way to just look at a VM in VC and figure out how much of its allocated storage it's actually using? Or, better yet, a (preferably free) tool or app that will just give me a report on all of them?
