Virtual Desktop (View) ROI/TCO Study

Hi All

I am embarking on a VMware View ROI/TCO study for my firm to help justify the spend for VDI and just looking for a collection of resources, spread sheets, sample reports , etc.. from which I can base my research/approach.

It needs to be geared towards cost savings over a 1 year, 2 year and then 3 year periods and then looking to pin point when firm can expect Investment Returns.

I am not expecting to virtualise every desktop, but would like to achieve at least 30% of the estate by the end of 2009.

Not so sure what the advantages of ThinStall are over XenApp but Application ROI will be a later project.

Look forward to starting a good discussion here for resources on TCO/ROI VDI resource learning....

Troy , this is great. Yes. But I am trying to find some actual Microsoft Excel spreadsheets, plus reports which VMware I believe have released online.
