VM server or workstation ?

Hi,

I am using VM player and server for some time now, but never try'd the version workstation. Okay, I understand that Player can only handle pre-cooked vmx's.

But what are the main differences between server and workstation. I know some, like:

server can boot auto when the host boots.

server can only make 1 snapshot

But there must be more..

The topic's come up a few times before. Server's not designed for interactive console use so no emphasis on graphics whereas WS has experimental 3d support, in addition to the others you mentioned.

If those don't have your answer, post again.

Here is a document I found comparing the features of Sever 1.0.3 against Workstation 6.0
