VLAN in vSwitches...

Hi Guys,

Just want to ask a question as I am not good in Networking...my question is when we use VLAN in vSwitches, do we need to create VLAN on physical switches and use that VLAN for vSwitches or if we create a VLAN on vSwitch it will work out throughout our virtual and physical infrastructure.

Hi,

If you make a VLAN on a virtual switch, and you want that VLAN to communicate through a physical link to any other machine, that physical switch will need to be configured as such.
