VI3 Network configuration - Have the options changed from ESX2.x

I'm having a few problems with network speed of the virtual machines running on a new ESX host running Starter edition. Perviously in 2.x there were 2 options for the network adapter (vmxnet and vlance i think) but in VI3 all i can see is "Flexable"... is that normal? is is because i only have Starter edition?

Any one else had any network speed issues?

This is normal. What network settings are you using on the host?

the NICs are set to 100Full (the maximum for the switch) they are also configured for VLAN tagging and the switch is set to port trunking.

Turns out to be an issue with the VLANs configured on the switch. Once the VLANs had been reconfigured the speed increased.
